Procedures and Advice to Patients

Listed below are several examples of the procedures carried out by James. This is intended to provide information to help you, the patient, decide on whether surgery is the right thing for you and what the right procedure is.

Please read the sections below but remember that this advice is best obtained from someone whose opinion you trust such as your general practitioner or physiotherapist. Finding the right surgeon is very important. You will need to discuss your own situation and personal day-to-day demands in order to decide with your surgeon what to do and when to do it.

James is happy to give advice regarding managing hip, knee and foot and ankle injuries/problems before the need for surgery. He can offer advice on injury rehabilitation and returning appropriately to normal activity/sport.

Please click on the procedures in bold to understand more. Should you have any questions relating to the procedures or would like to make an appointment, please call 0845 850 1451 for Spire Parkway or 0121 353 2444 for Spire Little Aston and ask for an appointment with James.

Appointments are usually Wednesday evenings, Thursday mornings or Friday evenings (new patients only) at Spire Parkway and Monday evenings at Spire Little Aston.
